The month of August is always auspicious for people and nation, but in a very special way for children, who manage to venture out free of encumbrances to run around flying kites and enjoying the heat of the season, forget all the ice creams and lollypops. Ramdev also earned a few flying moments, quite reminiscing his younger days that took him close to 7th class, when he too made a dart for the vain fame giving vent to his hollow attempts to fly around with corruption.
Ramdev’s educational kit hardly measures up to an 8th class dropout. Yet the temerity with which he acted foolish, ignorant and ill-educated by overstepping his own stature was reminiscent of the early ages when barbarity and plunder determined the ability of people and dynasties. Those were days when kings and dynasties flourished at the cost of lowly human beings whose only livelihood lay in doing the bid of wealthy and powerful leaders.
His sudden outburst at the Central Government pointedly targeting a party of Indian National Congress fame amounted to rushing to execute the bid as stooge to opposition parties at the behest of the communal elements constantly gnawing in to the ethos and philosophy of the nation. His dubious tactics came to light when his pestilent activities received the support of communal parties, prominent among them being the BJP and their sympathizers. What could be termed as a power struggle was the nod he received from other regional parties consisting of SP and BSP who too chipped in their own version of support.
There is no denying the fact that the opposition parties including those standing solidly behind the present government at the Centre are gruelingly aching to savour power by hook or by crook. The hordes of communal fanatics who accompanied Ramdev in his wake to hoot and applaud his call to oust Congress Party were a clear indication as to which way the needle pointed to.
Even so, within his mean intellect he awfully failed to portray what he himself was blurting out, quite unsure of his own limits and ignorant of what exactly he was blazing to depict through his pipe dream viz. ‘ousting the Indian National Congress’.
He, Ramdev is quite ignorant of facts. The nation holds the party (INC) in high esteem having the wholehearted support by a whopping majority all over the country. Moreover, Congress Party having widely acclaimed roots all over the country, is literally a spontaneous culmination of a sublime dream nurtured by scores of eminent intellectuals and leading luminaries of the land and handing out a challenge to the party would tantamount to treachery and conspiracy against the nation, the people and the constitution. His vain attempt to erase a party from the national scene is reminiscent of many well educated and better equipped political stalwarts who had even earlier resorted to tarnishing its image but despite several summersaults had to ultimately fade away from the national scene in to obscurity and rejection. The INC has a better image than what Ramdev or his communal coterie might fancy. Daring to toss the image of the largest single party in the country which the nation holds in high esteem and which party was nurtured, upheld and elected by billions of professed minds and respectable people and citizens of better worth, only showed up the narrow minded communal gang and an emaciated ignorant frame under Ramdev assuming scale levels that demand better education, culture and Godliness. This could be a singular act which Ramdev or his fanatics would hardly manage to achieve. Can Ramdev be termed a conspirator against the national leaders and the nation’s interests? A brief pause for contemplation by Ramdev himself!
Little did his emaciated frame know that the Indian National Congress was the edifice of hard work by millions of dedicated and learned men and women of vision, of wisdom and people who knew their mettle!
His attitude to overstep a government and his call to oust a national party like Congress (INC) does not portray even a mind of 8th standard schooling he claims to have done, what to speak of imagining himself capable of ousting corruption or bringing back black money from abroad, so on and so forth. His blunt brain does not even realize that all perilous evils plaguing the nation emanates from Hinduism which carries with it corruption (greed for money), extremism (dowry deaths), narrow-minded thought process or approach (their dream blitz called Hindustan) and many more evils all of which account for their hatred of Muslims (their sworn enemy), their ire which saw much riots and attacks on masjids, churches, rape of nuns, butchery of innocent priests and many more to their credit. He joined hands with a people and party whose specifics point to destructive trends instead of adhering to a constructive approach for the betterment of the nation and a people. In short, Ramdev is forging a future in the company of people whose identity can hardly fetch a purpose.
Ramdev, for a change, would do better to steer out of his cave of animal wisdom and come face to face with a better world of peace and harmony, in states which house lakhs of Christians, Kerala being one, where people have always maintained peace and harmony. States where mind has not got corrupted and where one would not require communal elements to beat empty drums around for a call to oust the soul of the nation, the INC. It is another matter that Communism did wreak havoc on the psyche of people in few states, on account of which, even to this day the people are yet to come out the trauma that left them unconscious of the eternal harm they were wreaking on the land, on the nation and on a peace loving people.
However, if Ramdev imagines his wealth or fame can eradicate the very evil which has made him one, he is only imposing a failed dream in to his life of fantacies.
People who undertake fast in the name of democratic rights are guilty of violating or breaking the peace of the land, of the people or of the constitution.
An indefinite fast cannot be termed peaceful. Even suicide is termed a crime as per law of the land. A Constitution is no mere text to be bypassed; rather it is the embodiment of a collective resolve by 1.3 billion people (Indians) who honour the sacrosanct document as a guiding feature for the masses. Dismembering its provisions under the garb of protest, disregarding the government put in place for a term of 5 years or subjecting the government to unnecessary strain, push and pull or diversion of its programmes, ought to be and need be held a grave crime amounting to provoking the people and opinion against provisions embodied therein, and as such, wholly and entirely guilty of demeaning the government held together by a Constitution adopted by the nation on the 26th day of January, 1950.
Moreover, such act of authritarianism, under the garb of peaceful protest, tantamount to hampering smooth functioning and working of general public, government departments and gross obstruction of government servants from adhering to duties earmarked by government or the Constitution. These irresponsible and negligent acts by people of mean intellect drain crores of rupees (much more than what an act of corruption could do to the nation) of public money including government working days, besides making public as much irresponsible as the very hoodlums blocking the passage of dialogue, which being the sole medium of resolving issues arising out of finiteness of human lapses. In a nutshell, such highhandedness by ordinary public and citizens ought to be deemed a pestilence fit to be construed as deliberately obstructing the government functioning, constitutional adherance and hampering of smooth follow up of people’s mandate, verdict of which was given by the election commission on 16th may, 2009.
Furthermore, such overtures by people with hardly a vision to take the 1.3 billion forward tantamount to robbing the peace, rest and right of the people in power, who are expected to abide by the dictum of a government, voted in place, in consolance with a constitution adopted by the nation on 26th January, 1950.
Democracy is not a divine right handed over by the Supreme Being to a particular individual or group to wield power and influence over a government for usurping powers of the government or of the people, in the name of people’s welfare or people’s rights. In the present instance, these bunch of hard-to-yield members under Ramdev pretending to fight corruption in a country which is duly governed by an elected body of people’s representatives, is unnecessarily robbing the peace and harmony of the land and withholding the right of a people and country from abiding by the dictum of government laws, in consonance with a constitution the people adopted on 26th January, 1950.
These acts under the hood of fighting corruption only enhance people’s power to become overcorrupt or overact to attempts made at pacifying the nation on crucial issues and menaces that plague the lives or hamper the smooth running of a government in power. Flinging aspersions on government or individuals is as much as taking law in to public hands with vested interests, which cannot be condoned as a populist measure or divine ordained right to deal out justice or to cause to deal out a judgement. As for the rest, the nation does have courts for redressal of people’s grievances which is the only medium of public protest.
People like Hazare or Ramdev, with little or no education to their credit but daring to circumvent facts to belittle a government, the elected representatives or dignitaries entitled to supreme respect, ought to know that the nation has a very obscure and dubious past which does not speak well of its own people and history of old. And in this arena, he too is a party to corruption as he also descends from the Aryan tribe.
Much blunder has been committed during the early ages which cannot be repeated. It may be recollected that during the early ages when Dravidians crossed over from the Indus valley in to the northern regions for settling there, the land was an arid waste with shrubs and infertile soil. But through the sweat of their brow they eaked out a living by tilling the soil and taming cattle. Those were days when they neither had a religion to rely on, nor a government to cater to their needs. However, with firm faith in their ability to rely on nature and its produce, they kept up their bid to live and let live hordes of other people like themselves who too made a living through hard work and the sweat of their brow. Unfortunately, it did not take them long to understand that their peaceful existence could be shattered by a hostile people called Aryans who descended upon them, driving them out of their settlements.
The Dravidians had to flee the northern territories to finally settle down in the south. Today they are a highly disciplined lot unlike the Aryans who even today are unable to bridle their arrogance, their meanness, their greed for wealth. Hazare and Ramdev too are descendants of the very same race namely the Aryans, who being corrupt to the core, would hardly wish the good of another. Does history carry any meaning to the present day corruption? Or, can Hazare and Ramdev carry away a sublime lesson to live not by the past but by the 21st century future!
People, like Hazare and Ramdev, who dare to assume extra-constitutional or divine powers to enforce unilateral decisions on a people or government, unbecoming of a world that has advanced up to a 21st century era and still making giant strides on all fronts must read in to their own folly of indulging in barbarity and indiscipline. These blurred minds must awaken to a new era of advanced technology and sophisticated approach.
Even terming a government or a particular functionary of governt as corrupt is wielding non-existent immunity or defying one’s own conscience. They ought to know that the present government is a directly descended entity of the Indian National Congress and its break-away groups who have collectively held aloft the ethos and rationale of a nation that was built up from the scratches of barbarity and chaos. As such, any offensive course such as the one adopted by these ignorant elements amount to misguiding the public and hampering smooth functioning of a government and the nation and therefore, guilty of a crime which attracts punitive measures to bridle their arrogance, waywardness and conspiracy against the government, the constitution and a silent people who have elected them to their respective position.
Founded on 28-12-1885, the INC or the Indian National Congress rose to be a major player in defining independence movement, which culminated with the nation achieving its objective on 15th August, 1947. Common man, whether educated or illiterate across the country, needs to accept that this organization came to be unified under one platform primarily with a view to fight colonial rule of the British Empire . Since the start of independence movement, there would have been much untoward happenings, both on the part of British who then held the administration or by the natives who were determined to fight the British for clinching independence from the foreigners. In the process, whatever the guilt or crimes committed by either side, was either censored or underestimated or even unrecorded because the primary objective of the Indian masses who held the advantage of being sons of the soil was to drive the british out by hook or by crook. There is therefore, no doubt that during the entire span of nearly 200 years, much butchery would have been carried out by either of the groups which would have been overlooked by way of sympathy for the cause of the former and the administrative duty of the latter. Accordingly, in such a state of rivalry, much of what the natives suffered were highlighted in bold whereas the evil or the agony heaped by the natives on the British were either ignored or underestimated.
While dwelling on this particular topic, a crucial fact which escapes everyone’s notice is that the British who carried out orders of the administration were either doing their duty or even if acted crude by riding rough shod over a highly invigorated mob. Much of what British did, they did so after having been driven to the wall by the natives who were more vengeful than fighting for a right. We need to remember that the British would have been more disciplined than the natives who fought in random groups to stave off any threat from British commanders. Accordingly, the acts committed by the natives were more under personal vengeance or to pay back in terms of what they would have been brainwashed by individuals and groups for attaining their ends. Ultimately, independence was achieved at the behest of a dialogue started between the natives and the British. However, the nation failed to accept the truth that the British rather than letting loose their ammunitions to wipe the population and country out, merely decided through a supremely ordained conscience vote that they must leave the country without any further bloodshed. Can Indian community accept this largeheartedness of the British? Till today this fact is yet to seep down under in to the bowls of Indians.

British were magnanimous in holding out the olive branch to finally pronounce
Where then does corruption originate? It also indicates a serious lapse within the Indian mindset which exhibits more of a selfish attitude within Indians than the show of patriotism manifested in their overall acts and deeds.
Even today, every Indian runs for money and be it through film world or through cricket, the greed for money has never satiated their less virtuous lives to abide by a dictum of their own conscience. The recent instances of match-fixing or kidnapping for extraction of money is quite relevant here. Moreover, despite the nation having sufficient hospitals and doctors, the country has no dearth of people impersonating as doctors and disbursing medicines and consultancy services to patients who flock ignorant of the hood worn by these compounders and criminals.
If a thorough check of people and individuals are made, much would come to light on the extreme corruption resorted to by every one including those crying hoarse on corruption.
After Kisan Baburao Hazare, now Ramdev has thrown his hat in the ring in an attempt to rid the nation of a menace viz. corruption. The nation, in a very special manner, needs to be reminded that the particular instinct to amass wealth by people is but an innate characteristic apparent in every individual or read every Indian. No man is ever satisfied with his share of income and it is wholly natural and characteristic of people and citizens to enhance their position by earning extra amounts through dubious means. All irrespective of any particular individual nurse an ambition to stock money and riches for future needs, looking to the increasing need of one’s family or for leading a comfortable or luxurious life, now and till the end of time. To this end, it would be natural that everyone would grab money through whatever ways or sources one can for increasing his bank balance.
Even Ramdev is no exception in this particular area of mischief. The very fact that Ramdev too is amassing wealth under the garb of medication and yoga exercises, which has not had the final say from the Almighty, whose Holy Will even today is making people succumb to the ultimate finale which is death. The nation is also not in a dearth of medical facilities and qualified doctors all across the country. Whereas, Ramdev cannot be pointed out as a better qualified doctor with operational facilities in case of demand, adept at safeguarding the health and welfare of people and nation at large. Furthermore, any little bit of relief that people assert as being on account of his yoga exercises cannot by itself be counted as meriting sole advantage due to and on behalf of Ramdev only, because he is himself a below standard person with hardly any qualification (8th standard) to his credit.
Incidentally, the nation is being pulled down its climb to self sufficiency by people of lesser education such as Hazare earlier and now Ramdev, which tendency to pitch the nation against all future prospects of a progressive rise needs to be seen as mimicking being done first by Hazare and now by Ramdev.
This man Ramdev, who claims to be an expert in the field of yoga cure for various ailments and goes about under the garb of a Hindu sage, which exhibits his meanness in focusing his body and mind to a particular religious belief or faith and as such not trustworthy by a nation and people, India being a nation of diverse people and customs. Moreover, his antecedents, his integrity, his past-present-&-future life etc etc are all shrouded in an otherwise hazy and suspicious profession not confirmed through education or research. His undertaking a fast ought therefore, be seen as overruling the stretches of a constitution the nation adopted on 26th January, 1950.
Slap a strong deterrent & criminal case against Ramdev and his coterie, including his followers for deliberate obstruction of government functioning, constitutional adherance and hampering of smooth follow up of people’s mandate, verdict of which was given by the Election Commission on 16th may, 2009.

Ever since the UPA government started its term during 2009 there has been eeriness mostly among the opposition parties but to a great extent even among the communal elements including RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena and what have you? Reason – that they would have to wait for a long span of five years before they could make a dart to scratch around for regaining power center.
ReplyDeleteRestlessness among political parties is quite obvious as it is the only platform that they can vie for a position of fame or reputation. Moreover, the Indian public mostly made up of communal outfits and disgruntled elements cannot be easily bought with soothing words. They would want a bargain to replenish their private treasuries.
We have a functioning government unlike that of the communal one, which while in power from 1998 to 2004, had engaged itself swaying between national priorities and communal organizations. It was a pretentious government that was manipulated by communal forces like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sene and their like. The short break of 6 years at the centre tripped the national priorities and after the present government stepped in, with the help of a fractured coalition, the UPA made its mark felt by people and institutions alike, the statistics of which are there for everyone to see.
But everyone has an eye for fame or reputation. And Hazare or such like minded people are no different either. But the manner in which the UPA government has had to eke out some form of respite from restless people making a beeline to shadow the limelight has been not only eroding the name and fame of the nation but even robbing the Parliament of its smooth functioning. Merely picking out names of people, officials and members within the government and flinging aspersions of corruption on any particular politician does not augur well for a nation aspiring to be a super power contender. The present government is fully active and where instances of corruption does surface, necessary action to rectify the area is being carried out with loyalty and dedication.
It needs to be emphasized that the UPA government at the centre is active and decisive with firm will to establish a corruption-free society. However, there are hurdles that need to be tackled through legal procedures and by keeping the prestige of the nation in mind. There are also areas which need to be kept aloof from prying eyes of foreign countries or other Issues which need to be preserved from ordinary public. Thereafter, to clear the hassles and ridding the nation of evil forces at work, will need to be done cautiously without stepping on to the rights and privileges of people at different levels.
India is a vast country with diverse culture, religious beliefs followed by a communally charged people who would not settle for anything less than a strike at places where it hurts most.
It is therefore, of paramount importance that parties and individuals who are baying for the blood of people in position or power need to exercise caution before attempting to undo the freedom achieved after a hard fought battle of wits and diplomacy.
My salute to the Muslim community and their brethren in India or abroad. A salute to all Muslims who were made to bear the brunt of Hindu fanaticism for ages. Salute to those Islamic followers who were forced to distance themselves from a ‘Hindustan’ of Hindu fanatics who were labeled enemies of a nation that failed to accept them as honourable citizens of a free India, a people who have been labeled as extremists (or be it even a slur as “Dawood Gang”) for the convenience of a majority community. My undaunted and everlasting salute to all Muslims of this free nation called ‘Hindustan’!
ReplyDeleteIt needs to be asserted emphatically that Muslims are an integral part constituting a second majority with every right to live a life of peace as enshrined in the Preamble of a Constitution of India that was adopted on 26th January, 1950.
This piece has been written keeping in mind the grave injustice meted out to this section of our brethren who have been very unkindly singled out for heaping canard and allegations, insult and injury or devastation and death. People of India need to hang their heads in shame for such attitude or lack of attitude whereby honest and upright citizens of Muslim origin of a free India have been made to suffer ignominiously through no fault of theirs.
Without providing a narrative of instances of brutality and criminal neglect endured by them, this writer as a true Catholic must assert with all firmness that Muslims have always respected places of worship and never indulged in arson, looting or breaking up of such holy places, be it church or temple etc. But what have they received in return? Scorn and detest of the extreme kind! God forgive a communally charged ‘Hindustan’.
This writer, while whole-heartedly appreciating their grievances, wish to lay down a special and personal appeal that the elite Muslims who distanced themselves from the nation and are living outside the country out of fear or panic, should set aside all of the torture & criminal victimization endured by them at the hands of Hindu fanatics by forsaking their grudges, forgeting the past and fall in line with their brethren by returning to mainstream life and living a life of peace and harmony with the entire Muslim fellowship including other communities with the blessings of the Almighty.
The nation emerged strong in the face of backlash by its own adversaries and the most stumbling block of adversary was the opposition and a select group of communal elements in the form of RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena and you name it, there was no dearth of them. Emergency imposed on the nation by Smt. Indira Gandhi heralded the emergeance of a nation out of the shadows of militancy (sponsored by the then opposition), Jayaprakash Narayan included and other disgruntled elements which list also includes the then George Fernandez and his accomplices. Militancy by these elements working against the force of the nation and welfare of people gave teeth to communalization of society, young and old. It even sawed the seed of hatred among the majority community against minorities consisting of Christianity, Muslims etc. This militancy allowed sessation of harmony and operation blue star came about which was much needed to nip in the bud the sikh frustration to saw the seed of disintegration. In the thick of confusion the real issues got faded and became so to speak irredeemable to be dealt with. What dominated the scene was an air of opposition backing all that could send the nation to chaos. The world was yet to come abreast of many of the sophisticated medium required to educate the then public. Students’ unrest apart there was largescale arson, looting and criminality.
ReplyDelete70’s was a dark period in the history of the nation. People were disillusioned with the ongoing strikes, hartals, arson, loot, destruction of government buildings, property, apparatus, the democratic machinery founded so strong through years of struggle and so on. What could the government do when people left to themselves take to destructive tendencies for demanding democratic fulfillment for enhancement of salaries and such or similar demands. INC stood upright in the face of it all.
The then leaders bore with the brunt of public menace. Even great stalwarts of political forum stood to oppose the government and leaders. Indian National Congress could not be browbeaten by people with hardly a sense of national upkeep. It was the staunchest of efforts put in by Congress Party of now as well as then that managed to outlive chaos and barbarity. What need we more to eulogise the architecture of Indian National Congress?
The nation is silently watching the rehearsal to a drama enacted first by Kisan Baburao Hazare and now followed up by Arvind Kejriwal, a loner who shot to fame walking in the shadow of Hazare himself.
ReplyDeleteThe so called crusade is nothing but a shot at fame through the existing hoodlums and ruffians of an ill-bred nation and people, which can at best lend a helping hand to the enemies waiting to destroy the land both within and without.
By and large all blurts by Hazare then and Kejriwal now are deliberately intended primarily to target Congress Party and its office bearers as also the Members of Parliament and elected representatives of people. Incidentally, such activities with intent to malign people and party – precisely the Congress - or to hoodwink the general public under pretext of fighting corruption is quite out of tune with normal procedures laid down under the democratic set up.
As such their activities may be classified as falling within the ranks of sectarian and and extremist views as also a unilateral game with intent to malign people and country as a whole. With no umpire to monitor their cases of excesses being committed either by Hazare or Kejriwal, the entire episode being enacted call for immediate arrest of Hazare and Kejriwal as no individual can claim a privilege to commit such excesses, the like of which not even the extremists have resorted to by dividing the people and nation on issues of which the central government is already seized of.
Moreover, the activities indulged in by the duo do not fall within the privileges granted to masses under the democratic set up and hence it is up to people to wield pressure on these unruly people and act to the detriment of their own position and lives, if need be for which the government cannot be held responsible. Incidentally, these hoodlums are working against the very government set up through ballot and taking advantage of a most detestable public, who are hoodlums themselves what to speak of the extremist activites resorted to in one way or the other.
Incidentally, the ordinary people who flock to listen to blurts by these ill-educated and uncultured people (there can be no better vocabulary to qualify the acts by Hazare, Kejriwal and the like) who have stooped this low to malign people and government, might not have read the news of Hazare himself slamming Kejriwal for his parting ways to form a political party all by himself. The party has since been named – Aam Admi Party – so the IAC is pitted against AAP. Does not this raise eye brows on the two stalwarts, who stood side by side for a year or two are divided within under the hood of fighting corruption but have as much venom against the government and the nation? If this is the state of their own shrewdness, then how would they proclaim themselves to be unblemished? Incidentally, a divided corruption is on the national scene to take on an otherwise innate corruption of a free India. This could be the best joke of the century.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, these stalwarts – read Hazare, Kejriwal etc - who profess to be honest and untainted lack that sense of ethics, which the ordinary public who flock to listen to their utterances might totally fail to diagnose. The ins and outs of their own political stunts are unfolding to the very public. In order to gain vain fame, the duo are giving opportunities to communal hoodlums to ransack the nation and its ethos.
Their vain manoeuvres are giving chance for mayhem and communal strife to flourish within the nation so that, sooner or later the nation could be devastated. After having endured the melodrama by Hazare-Kejriwal camp during the last over two years it has become imperative to spell the blanket of devastation that is due to engulf the nation in the near future. People must realize that once the nation plunges in to chaos and civil strife, there can be no way to restore normalcy or reinstate the peaceful nature of this vast nation.
Corruption does not exist. Even if it does, it does not deserve so much of upheaval for public to take to streets because the country is united with an elected government at its helm, having its reins in the hands of people whose forefathers achieved it the freedom and laid the foundation for a strong India under the auspices of Indian National Congress. The voice of the nation, its resolve, its determination is resolute and no amount of poking fun of the government or its leaders would hamper the nation’s progress.
ReplyDeleteTo be precise ‘corruption’ in form and manner as is portrayed by some freak minded individuals, crying shrill by roadside shows or in open-air conclaves ought to be seen as a vain attempt to browbeat a fully determined government. All the hue and cry about corruption alleging it to be eroding a nation like India is mere myth.
However, in order to tackle this pestilent menace, the government needs to get going by setting the law enforcing agencies on the trail of these haphazard elements who keep disturbing the peace of the nation, people and the government. Fail these rumor mongers, stand with the government to find even traces of such minor evil evaporate in to thin air.
Arrogant and vicious men with hardly any trace of conviction within might disturb the peace of the nation and people. These elements are never trustworthy especially for a huge nation like India.
Corrupt people never portray any arrogant trait within them. It needs to be borne in mind that the corrupt or arrogant ones are those who keep rumour mongering by crying ‘wolf – wolf’ for that which does not even exist in quantum it is made out to be. These moves by unworthy elements is all an outcome of frustration by maniacs who cannot afford a solution to minor evils that creep up within any group or society. However, flinging aspersions on an elected government or standing on mid road to blurt or point fingers at people who have made innumerable sacrifices for the nation is essentially a sign of mental deficit. Whereas truly honest and uncorrupt people will get down to reforming even traces of evil within a society only through dedication and peaceful methods.
Corruption does not exist. There is no corruption and all talk of corruption is a myth. I repeat with emphasis – there is no corruption as is made out and in the measure some stray, blunt and ignorant elements want to portray the nation to be in. Does this sound Greek to some?
ReplyDeleteThe nation was never free from chaos, turmoil or incidents causing enormous hardships to public, highhandedness, nefarious activities, atrocities, brutalities & butcheries, wars, catastrophes, natural calamities, besides murders, kidnap for ransom, hijack, criminal assault, loot, theft, burglary, extremism, cross-border terrorism, civil strife, communal riots, dowry deaths, rape of innocents, plunder by people, tax evasion, snatching and pickpockets, theft of vehicles, arson, labour unrest, hoarding of essential commodities, pilferage of items, marketing day to day items & essential commodities at exorbitant rates – and what have you?
Nevertheless, India never forsook its development plans, activities and programs. The government did not ever throw up its hands fed up of the anarchy and chaos committed by its own people. It did not blame the citizens and people who stood to benefit from the progress the nation was making through unstinted efforts of a government that was awake to people’s problems. Today the same nation is capable of hoisting Common Wealth Games, Asiad and like events which project the nation as a force to reckon with.
All the developments took place at the behest of a party nurtured to its existence by people of eminence, dignified people who had a dream to see India on top of the world map. However, the country was never free from high-handedness by vested interests by people who savoured freedom yet preferred luxury and comfort to commitment and hard work.
India which was originally projected as an ‘under-developed country’ and with the passage of time came to be eventually referred to as ‘undeveloped’, today this very nation stands heads high above most nations having qualified to be a super power contender. All this occurred at the behest of a national party, which churned out a direction for a people who hardly measured up to attaining basic education and know-how. As of today the nation owns a novel vision, a novel vista and a novel periphery to include the world in its reckoning. Do not these aspects show India in a new light quite ahead of the reach of the existing twenty-first century?
ReplyDeleteThe nation could not have progressed this far, had the country been under a spell of corruption by its own people as some blunt elements want to convey to public on the roadside. As a result of these blurts by blunt elements whose utterances carry neither a reason nor rationale, a parallel system has been created to the detriment of an elected government at its helm with a tremendous set back to the progress the country is making. All the cry that is available from the public as of today is about ‘corruption’ the essence of which does not exist at all. It all just boils down to mere humbug.
No. Within the soul of the nation, within the government manned by Congress Party in alliance with regional outfits, there is truly no corruption. Their minds are focused with a determined resolve to keep corruption, if any, at bay. But the indulgence by public under the hood of opposition, communalists, extremists and criminals tend to undermine the efforts put in by human beings within the government and the end game by public within gain the edge over facts or truth. When the custodians of people’s rights themselves come under fire or onslaught from a rampaging public or one might put it as parallel extremism straight from the road, the focus loses its grip and the nation has to take the beating for a fault committed by public themselves. No, I still emphasize with strictness & clarity that corruption does not exist – rather public menace does.
There is no corruption. Corruption does not exist at all. All talk of corruption is a myth. I repeat – there is no corruption as is made out by some stray elements.
ReplyDeletePeople who lived more than 60 years or more and watched the nation progress by huge strides, step by step, which country only till recently was referred to as an ‘underdeveloped country’ and later on came to be projected as ‘undeveloped nation’ which eventually found itself competing for top slot as a ‘super power’ could not have progressed this far, had the country been under a spell of corruption by its own people as some blunt elements want to term it. All humbug. And the credit for such leap by a free nation of diverse communities should surely go to the Indian National Congress alias INC or better put as Congress Party.
Moreover, if immediately after independence when population of India was a mere 40 crore when a gunny bag of grail could be procured for a few rupees, such a stage could not have remained static after more than 60 years when the population too has tripled that of the pre-independence period. Naturally people’s demand too soared in equal measure besides the nation having underwent tremendous hardship on account of catastrophes, wars and natural calamities. And despite all these, if the country progressed to present levels, the credit for that too goes to the one only party namely INC or Congress.
Unfortunately, love for one’s neighbour or for the masses evaporated after the British left and the Christian refrain ‘Faith, Hope and Charity’ dimmed to a period of hatred as time passed. Fortunately, the Indian elite especially the leading lights of Congress maintained the tempo of love and oneness within the higher echelons of dignified people including Nehru-Indira family who succeeded in keeping the flock intact while simultaneously protecting the people from hardships both internal as well as external. However, if the Indian populace failed to maintain the standards of a righteous and harmonious life, the National Party viz. INC or Congress Party cannot take the blame for such human infirmities. Nevertheless, the Congress Party never indulged in a tirade against any party and people. INC consisted of people with lofty ideals noble vision.
The nation is silently watching a rehearsal to drama enacted first by Kisan Baburao Hazare and subsequently followed by Arvind Kejriwal, a loner who shot to fame walking in the shadow of Hazare himself. By and large all blurts by Hazare then and Kejriwal now are deliberately intended primarily to target Congress Party and its office bearers as also the Members of Parliament and elected representatives of people. Incidentally, such activities with intent to malign people and party – precisely the Congress - or to hoodwink the general public under pretext of fighting corruption is quite out tune with normal procedures as laid down under the democratic set up, especially this being a unilateral game with no umpire to monitor cases of excesses being committed by one side or the other. However, Congress Party being a national party founded on a strong footing by people and citizens who had a larger foresight than what these hoodwinking elements like Hazare or his own blind followers possess.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, the ordinary people who flock to listen to blurts by these ill-educated and uncultured people (there can be no proposition to qualify the acts by Hazare, Kejriwal and the like) who have stooped this low to malign people might not have read news of Hazare himself slamming Kejriwal for his parting ways to form a political party all by himself. The party is due to be organized by the end of November 2012.
Needless to say, these stalwarts who profess to be honest and untained do lack that sense of ethics, which the ordinary public who flock to listen to their utterances might totally fail to diagnose the ins and outs of the entire situation that is unfolding in the wake of their manoeuvres. After having endured the melodrama by Hazare-Kejriwal camp during the last over two years it has become imperative to spell the blanket of devastation that is due to engulf in the near future.
Indira Gandhi heralded the emergeance of a nation out of the shadows of militancy (sponsored by the then opposition), Jayaprakash Narayan included and other disgruntled elements.
Democracy is not a divine right handed over by the Supreme Being to a particular individual or group to wield power and influence over a government for usurping powers of the government or of the people, in the name of people’s welfare or people’s rights. In the present instance, these bunch of hard-to-yield members under Ramdev pretending to fight corruption in a country which is duly governed by an elected body of people’s representatives, is unnecessarily robbing the peace and harmony of the land and withholding the right of a people and country from abiding by the dictum of government laws, in consonance with a constitution the people adopted on 26th January, 1950.
ReplyDeleteThese acts under the hood of fighting corruption only enhance people’s power to become overcorrupt or overact to attempts made at pacifying the nation on crucial issues and menaces that plague the lives or hamper the smooth running of a government in power.
India has progressed this far with a functioning government unlike that of the communal one that engaged itself swaying between national priorities and communal agenda, while in power from 1998 to 2004. It was a pretentious government manipulated by communal forces like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Ram Sene and their like. The short break of 6 years at the centre by the stalwarts of communalism tripped the national priorities. However, after the present government stepped in, with the help of a fractured coalition, the UPA alliance has stood the test of time making its mark felt by people and institutions, the statistics of which are there for everyone to see.

ReplyDeleteMerely picking out names of people, officials and members within the government and flinging aspersions of corruption on any particular politician does not augur well for a nation aspiring as a super power contender. The present government is fully active and where instances of corruption does surface, necessary action to rectify the area is being carried out with loyalty and dedication.
The government at the centre is active and decisive with firm will to establish a corruption-free society. However, there are hurdles that need to be tackled through legal procedures and by keeping the prestige of the nation in mind. There are also areas which need to be kept aloof from prying eyes of foreign countries, others which need to be preserved from ordinary public. Thereafter, to clear the hassles for ridding the nation of evil forces at work, will need to be done cautiously without stepping on to the rights and privileges of people at different levels.
It is unfortunate that the public memory fails far too often. All the India shining call by the opposition and chorused by the disgruntled parties, died down after a second chorus of sky-rocketing prices. But when all was controlled by the UPA government, the disenchanted parties unable to grab power are looking to join a third front during the next Lok Sabha Elections. Are the people deaf and dumb about the truth that no communal riots have taken place ever since the UPA hoisted power at the centre? Even with a dumb and ignorant Hazare taking up the cause of corruption, there have been rattling sound from all corners, heaping insult over injury over elected representatives of the people by smearing abusive filth on the issue of corruption. The ignorant ones ought to know that the country has a network of courts where such allegations could be filed for redressal of such grievances. But merely rumor mongering or giving vague allegations to fire public fury amounts to delaying the progressive remedies set in motion by the government under a constitution the nation owes allegiance to.

The least that the nation, people and the same ruffians burning with corruption-mongering minds and enacting mudslinging as these very hoodlums namely Hazare and Kejriwal are doing is to gag them and send them off to jails to cool their heels.

How Advani and party are finding is suffocating to keep sitting in the opposition is already known to the country’s 1.3 billion. But the way they keep repeating the chorus is quite odd and not becoming of the stalwarts of BJP and allies. Just take the case of recent bandh called by NDA and their regional outfits.
ReplyDelete“Bharat Bandh” by the NDA constituents and regional parties was an utter failure. In fact it came immediately after the communal party attempting to stall the functioning of Parliament and demanding the resignation of PM. And even those unruly elements burning the effigy/photo of the PM of a large democracy does not depict any sense. It only amounted to people raping innocents and walking away as if nothing happened.
Even by its very nature, a bandh is always a flop in view of it being a deliberate attempt to force government or people in to submission. This amounted to failure of the great stalwarts of the opposition who could not outwit the government on the floor, so they took him on in the street, in the melee stamping on the empty bellies of the poor and ordinary people.
If the people and country have any shame left, let them rise in revolt against the NDA constituents but in a special way the BJP who deemed it fit to side with the disgruntled elements within and without to take to streets after having failed within the parliament in blocking the functioning of Parliament and Government deemed fit to disgrace the government, for the world to see.
Does it prove sensible for an opposition taking to the streets and burning the photo of a Prime Minister of the nation who was elected out of the 1.3 billion citizens of a democratic country? If at all Dr. Man Mohan Singh was that detestable as to disrespect the person in him, then what made these rats stay calm when he was elected to the post.
The country is very much on rails and no amount of rocking carried out by the communal elements in tandem with other regional and disgruntled elements can derail the government or the nation. The present government under Indian National Congress has been doing the nation proud but someone needs an unbiased mind and intellect to decide which way the country is developing and fast.
Kejriwal is creating a fear psycosis within the wealthy and influential people and making room for them to hide their wealth, assets etc.
ReplyDeleteThe INC and the Gandhi family ought not be made a target for people with lean thinking. The capital has no place for hoodlums whose only lookout is to tarnish the image or focus of righteous and unsuspecting individuals who are descendants of a royal family of repute and an independent India catering to over 1.3 billion people.
It is only due to the enormous contributions and sacrifices made by the forefathers of these families that India today stands tall in every aspect of world renown. The works and achievements of these very families who have worked day in and day out to embellish the star-studded Indian polity already stand recorded within the archives of yesteryears. Therefore, on no account should any name or personality of such or similar rank be dragged in to controversies and made an object of mirth and laughter for unruly elements within or outside the nation.
Moreover, people who deem it a right to spill venom against people of high category ought to know that they are today what they are on account of selfless sweat and precious blood shed by people of extreme caliber and reputation. All glory and honour that India today stands to claim are outcome of the unstinted labour and tireless efforts put in by individuals whose names these reckless people under the style IAC has opted to demean.
This narrow-brained Kejriwal is burning the national identity, the theme, the soul and in a stunning context burning the national flag by allowing his filthy brain to slam reckless allegations and accusations on people who had earlier as well as today hold the reins of a nation and its realm.
His targeting such reckless allegations straight out of his narrow-minded brain is sending wrong signal among unsuspecting public where these allegations are working to arouse petty grouse against wealthy and influential people.
Kejriwal needs to know that people in high places or in government are indeed royal citizens of a free India whose forefathers rendered endless sacrifices for the liberation and upkeep of the country and whose families did shed their sweat and blood without caring for the outcome or for their own safety and happiness.
As such, for no reason whatsoever should these glittering personalities of yesteryears should be made a victim of public focus with canard or allegations without having the same verified or established through a court of law.
He ought to know that any prosperity or fortune having been left behind by renowned stalwarts of yesteryears for their younger descendants to lead a peaceful life ought not be made a target by mean minded people like Kejriwal to be blown apart to smithereens the manner he desires.
Such accusations or reckless allegations may even amount to burning the national flag or deliberately making the family members of a royal echelon being dragged in to controversies which mar the actual image of people and nation. His blunt mind ought to also know that the entire nation and the world are viewing such hasty allegations coming straight out of his mean intellect and allowing the public to go on rampage against the sons of the soil of a powerful nation. In effect Kejriwal is using democracy to belittle people as if they were his property or an object of scorn.
Furthermore, Kejriwal is charging like mad bull at places where he ought not even tread. The masses are a witness to days of prosperity
The country has no dearth of shameless, restless and extra-vociferous people like Kejriwal who would never have the sublime patience to wait for a solution evolved by a government which enjoys a majority in every sense.
